संपादकीय
Editorial :

Namaste All !

We are extremely proud to present Swapnil Saundarya Vlog  { A vlog (or video blog)}   is  a blog that contains video content.  )on  the completion of successful and glorious four years of Swapnil Saundarya  ezine  & We literally step over into the fifth year of our ezine. Once again, the start of a brand new volume has come upon us. As we enter into new possibilities, may we all be reminded that we have the ability to be, do, and have anything that we want; that there are no mistakes, only lessons; and that the love and happiness we seek is already within our grasp.

During previous volumes, we all grew some, laughed some (a LOT, I hope!), shed some tears, and came to some new realizations with Swapnil Saundarya . We reached some of our goals, gained some victories, and also came to more clearly define the things we want to have in the future. All in all, we have truly been blessed!

As we begin volume 5th of Swapnil Saundarya ezine, my prayer is that we continue to  grow and find the space within ourselves to know, beyond all doubt, that there is nothing more that we need to do in order to be complete. All we need is a willingness to allow ourselves to feel good and to be at peace in the present moment. All we need is gratitude for all that we have, and all that we have had the pleasure to be and to experience. That is the starting point from which all other things will flow into our existence.

Be a part of Swapnil Saundarya ezine and Make your Life just like your Dream World !

With love,

Rishabh

The Fascinating History of Indian Jewellery

Indian jewellery is as old as Indian civilisation itself. The ruins of the Indus Valley civilisation, going back to 5000 years, have yielded examples of beaded jewellery. In the sculptures at Bharhut, Sanchi and Amaravati and the paintings at Ajanta can be seen the wide range of jewellery worn by man and woman, by king and commoner. The temples of South India, Bengal, Orissa and Central India present a veritable cornucopia of the jeweller's art.

Jewelry has undergone an unprecedented revolution in recent decades. Personal adornment has always attracted wide interest, but since the 1960s jewelry has found fresh inspiration. Influences from other arts, the use of surprising materials and the desire to make an individual statement or even to tell a story, have all combined to create a new and exciting movement.

Jewellery in ancient times was not only an adornment, but each stone was endowed with a mystical quality and used as a protection against evil forces. The navaratna or nine gems, each sacred to a planet, are worn in a particular order for the same reason to this day. The maniratna, called the serpent stone, was used as a talisman to protect the wearer. Rudraksha and Tulsi seeds and sandalwood beads are worn even today during Hindu worship.

The advent of Moghul rule further embellished Indian jewellery. The synthesis of Hindu and Muslim forms and patterns resulted in a great outburst of ornamentation, elegant and exquisite, and of a lush extravagance never seen before. Although traces of enamelling have been found in ancient Taxila, this art reached its zenith only under the Moghuls, when even the unseen reverse side of each jewel was covered with intricate enamel work (minakari).

Jewellery later became a means of putting by savings, like a bank today, and of providing financial security to women who sold it in times of need.
The Indian love of gold may have been a means of acquiring wealth. But the Indian love of jewellery is really a love of the beautiful and the aesthetic, of man's aspirations to reach perfection in form, design and colour. Repetition, symmetry and orderly progression in design are typical of the Indian belief in order, or R'ta, in the cosmic universe.

This book tells the story of India’s fascination with jewellery that begins 5,000 years ago in the Indus Valley and provides information on History and significance of Indian Jewellery along with evergreen jewellery trends and detailed information on Amulets and Talismans. The book also focuses on the inspired use of new materials, new processes, new tools and new ideas and is an essential work of reference for collectors, artists, curators and students of twentieth-century art, craft and jewelry.

Mrs India Globe Manisha Sharma, defining beauty & feminism on her own terms

The Indian women are very responsible in life and that is why most of the people who even after settling out of India come back and marry an Indian girl. This is because of the fact that Indian women are more responsible in their life. For them wedding is bondage and they would never dream to break that bondage. The other important attitude on Indian women is that she has more patience and can adjust herself to any circumstances. Besides, all this in the Indian family life, people consider women as the sole responsibility of home maker. And doing a home maker job is not as easy as it seems to be.

The beauty about India women is that she is patient for most of the events which happen in life. The role of girl in the tradition of India is much related to peace and she is considered to be the goddess of every family. People in India believe that girls bring in wish and luck to each family.

The Indian women consider herself the trust worthy person on any family and that is the reason why she is shouldered with lot and lot of roles and responsibilities. Traditionally when you compare Indian women and any women from western countries, the Indian women shoulders a lot of roles and duties. In western countries almost all the houses have servants or maids to do day to day activities but whereas in India the women has to do all the jobs whether she is a working women or house maker.

'Swapnil Saundarya' believes in the fact that "there is no force equal to a woman who is determined to rise". We always appreciate those strong willed modern day Indian women who think that the world is their oyster.

Here, we are going to introduce you to an Indian woman who is defining beauty and feminism on her own terms and encouraging other women to do the same.

So friends say Hello to the goregeous 'Manisha Sharma' ,who recently bagged the title of Mrs India Globe Classic 2017 .

When she left her hometown Kanpur to set up home in Lucknow after getting married , little did this woman  know that she would be embarking on a new journey that would take her all the way to win the prestigious title of  Mrs India Globe Classic  2017.

The primary school teacher and homemaker Manisha Sharma , who did the city proud  by winning the Mrs India Globe Classic 2017 pageant in  Delhi, says she still can't believe that it's for real.

"I feel, I am still dreaming," Lucknow's most glamourous bahu told 'Swapnil Saundarya ezine' in a conversation.

Manisha unfolds her veiled personality and her journey from a daughter to a homemaker and then conquering the crown of Mrs India Globe Classic 2017 with Swapnil Saundarya.

Manisha's  father is retired as associate directer from CSA university and her mother is a housewife. She got married during her post gradution. Then so many priorities came into her life and she got totally involved with them.

In the words of Manisha,  "After marriage, I gave my hundred percent time to my family and tried to give best upbringing to my children. My husband is very supportive. When my kids grown up I decided to do something. So, I did my B.Ed and started teaching 6 yrs ago. My daughter Pakhi moved to Bangalore for her further studies and I was feeling very low."

It was a chance-remark by a close friend that set Manisha on the road to win this title. "My best friend Raj Smriti suggested me to go for this Pageant Mrs India Globe Classic . But I was not ready. My daughter coaxed me that you should go and you can do wonders.I applied for this event and after auditions I got selected. " recalled Manisha, who admitted to being a touch nervous before flying out to Delhi.

" I reached Delhi and met with other contestants. I felt that there is no chance of me so just enjoy the moment " said Manisha.

"1st Round was all about introducing yourself and I entered with my lucknowi outfit and Urdu shayari,

" वो पेचदार गलियाँ वो गोमती के किससे
नज़ाकत नफ़ासत वो तहज़ीब सबके हिस्से
अदब और सियासत जहाँ शतरंज खेलते है
वो मेरा घर है जिसे आप लखनऊ बोलते है  "

And jury clapped so long for this " recalled Manisha.

Manisha  wowed the audience with her poise and grace and charmed the judges with her "honest" answers. "The question-answer segment was most enjoyable. It was more like holding a conversation, not a grilling session," she added.

Asked by the judges , " what will u do If you don't win this crow?"

Manisha had them stumped by saying:  "I am very positive person.I am turning 44 and your pageant's age limit is 48 years. I have four more years to compete . So, I will come again and take this crown And I was declared Mrs India Globe Classic 2017".

Manisha is a strong believer in continuous self improvement and achievement and she believes that excellence is a habit which is why one needs to give their best every single time.

On asking about who motivated your drive to participate in Classic Mrs. India pageant, Manisha replied , " I’ve always been encouraged to dream big and follow my dreams; I think a lot of credit goes to my upbringing . Empowerment, responsibility, beauty and intelligence are what every women aspires to have and Mrs India Globe Classic  is that one platform that exemplifies all of the above. Being a woman I have a craving to work for things I passionately feel for. My husband and children have been my biggest and constant sources of encouragement to go out there, give my best and bring the crown home."

On asking about what message would you like to give to all the women  and your fans reading this article, Manisha answered , " I really want to thank you and Swapnil Saundarya ezine for this feature and giving me a platform to share! I just want to say that there’s still a long way to go for me and I’ve realized it takes a lot of hard work, patience and determination to chase our dreams, so my message to every women reading this  would be to dream big, relentlessly get behind it, live the opportunities, experience the downfalls and absorb all that you can learn as it only makes you stronger, better and get closer to achieving what you want. Age is no bar for excellence. Indian women are combination of beauty, brain and emotions. They can create history at any age. So, there's no need to kill your dreams . Go ahead and success will come to you definitely. Through the journey, just always, ALWAYS remind yourself why you started in the first place, so that every day you are as excited to do your best as the last.

Swapnil Saundarya ezine wishes Manisha Sharma every success in life .

'Swapnil Saundarya Fragrance ' :: Made-to-share fragrance

What is the smell of a man? Or of a woman? The truth is there is no defining characteristic that makes a scent intrinsically masculine or feminine; it’s all a result of gender ideology and years of powerful marketing. The idea that women should smell of delicate florals and a man of creamy wood is outdated and overruled by the rise of unisex and made-to-share fragrances.

To save you the bother of scouring department store shelves we’ve discovered this gender-neutral scent namely  'Swapnil Saundarya Fragrance ' in the market.

The range (  'Swapnil Saundarya Fragrance' )  features jasmine, rose and sandalwood, among other local scents, and is priced between Rs 300 and Rs 1,000 for a 30ml to 100ml bottle of eau de parfum, much lower than foreign brands. And that was a very conscious decision, made in order to convince locals to use perfume  on a daily basis, instead of saving it for special occasions or relying solely on deodorants to smell good.

The Bohemian Jewels by Swapnil Saundarya Label

The word ‘Bohemian’ is most often used when describing someone who does not conform to tradition. This is the case in the way he/she might act as well as dress and that is when jewellery and fashion come into play . Jewellery designs that are usually described as bohemian tend to be a mix of different materials and have a care free style to them . Swapnil Saundarya Label’s jewelery is considered bohemian because it mixes gemstones, glass, cotton, ceramic, threads and metal elements together. This kind of jewellery is designed to convey an attitude and style that says free- spirited.
